FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) ASPOA Home page

Billing:

Q. Why am I getting two bills?

A. Until the summer of 2021 ASPOA ran its own water system, and the water consumption and POA Fee were combined into a single bill. Now we have transitioned to a new water supply which is Trujillo Trail DWID, thus members will now receive a bill from the Water Utility (TTDWID) separate from their POA bill, just like you receive a bill from UniSource, your internet provider, phone, and other utilities.

Water:

Q. What’s the deal with water?

A. Our water is provided by Trujillo Trail DWID please visit their web site for more information.

Assessements:

Q. What are the POA Assesements?

A. ASPOA Assesment Fees are posted on our Governing Documents page. The fees for other utilities can be found on their websites.

Projects/New Construction:

Q. I want to make a change on my property do I need permission?
A. All new construction or modifications need to go through the Architectural Committee. Our Deed Restrictions (section 7, page 2) specify that our AC has the responsibility to oversee our community standards, structural soundness and aesthetic principals. To date no project has been turned down.

Q. Can I live in a trailer on my property?

A. Only while building your permanent residence. After building is completed, all trailers must be removed.

Solar:

Q. Do you support solar?

A. Yes, ASPOA applauds solar installs. As with any new project it must go through our Architectural Committee. Special care is needed to not impact other residences views.

Roads:

Q. Why don’t you fix the road in front of my house?

A. Road maintenance depends on volunteers and funds available. Our annual road maintenance is usually done in the fall after the monsoon season is over. We encourage all members to trim overhanging vegetation and weed whack. Please note that the speed limit is 17.5 mph. This is a safety necessity due to the steep nature of some of our roadways and wildlife in our section. Additionally traveling this slow on our roads helps to keep the dust, wash boarding and maintenance to a minimum, and your neighbors happy.

Procedures:

Q. I drive around the neighborhood and see various things that don’t fall within our rules why do I have to follow them?

A. We acknowledge there are a few irregularities in our community which occurred in the past. However, we now have an active ARCH Cmte in place which provides guidance and a Fine Schedule that allows us to enforce our covenants if members do not follow the guidelines.
